Good approach? · Why did I choose to write about my chosen topic? · How will I adapt/revise my writing process for future revision of the academic mindset assignment? [Be specific. Review your current six-step writing process plan and consider posting a new six-step plan.] I composed this essay with my teacher and I think it was a good approach because I took a ton of notes. I didn’t know how to go by starting an argument about academic mindsets I wrote the project three days before it was due, I don’t think it was a good approach to do this process. I wrote this project at home in my room with the TV off this was a good approach it gave me some time to really think about what I was going to write. I choose to write this topic because it gave me some insight on fixed vs growth mindsets it is so much information that you can find on these topics

Carol Dweck says “Praising effort alone, she says, is useless when the child is getting everything wrong and not making progress. Either students will feel misled when they are eventually confronted with the reality of their low achievement, or the hollow praise will convey adults' low expectations for them.” She states this issue because this can hinder a child’s thinking in becoming a successful achiever." It is fine to give your child praise but you must insure them that they can try harder the next time because necessarily life will have rough patches, but when it gets tough don’t give up. This is my knowledge of a fixed vs growth mindset. A growth mindset is a person that has determination to succeed in life and is motivated to make a change even if it can sustain their career. The person will continue to try because they see a potential future. A fixed mindset can be considering a person that has no determination to further their success. They can come to a point in life where they have become successful, but they don’t want to take any chance to make their career better. Over the years, I have gradually come to a point in life where I want to make a difference in the world. I have a growth mindset. But that wasn’t always something I had growing up it was something that I had to instill in myself. In 2015 I was attending college classes and I thought school wasn’t for me so I end up dropping out to make money. I was so miserable at my job I wanted to come back to attend college. When registration was up on the Delegate website I signed up for 2016 Fall classes. When I came back to college I have done all my class assignments on time and also, I have toke all my teachers criticism as positive feedback to improve my work so I can get better in the future.
